Liberty’s story is a family story: each generation building on the engineering knowledge, customer relationships and work ethic of the one before it. Our footprint has grown, but our commitment to the craft remains.

Derrick Perkins Sr. founded the business in a small plant in Beverly, Massachusetts. What began with hands-on machining and practical engineering became the foundation for a family manufacturing business built to last.

Derrick Perkins Jr. led the expansion to Rochester, New Hampshire in 1998. The move marked a new chapter in the company’s growth, building on his father’s foundation and creating room for a larger manufacturing operation.

Liberty expanded into Michigan and subsequently consolidated its production at our current Milan facility. Equipment and experience came together under one roof, bringing the company’s New England manufacturing heritage to the industrial Midwest.
